Lauren's 10th Birthday

Wow double digits; where has the time gone.   My oldest is 10 years old and she is so tenderhearted, kind, and I love her so much.

We really didn't have a "theme" so to speak but she liked the hip and groovy look and liked the owls so we pulled a couple of things together for the party.  She had a sleep over and I created a candy bar (my advice would be to not do this if the the girls are staying, lol) They were on a sugar high till about midnight and the party started at 2pm.    Here are some pics from the table as you entered the house.

Lauren's birthday is in June in Texas so we normally have a swim party but try to change it up every year so she doesn't get bored with it.   

Sneak Peak - New Fabrics

We have had some of the fabrics that we carry discontinue but haven't updated the fabric list.

My Handy man, isn't Handy right now.

Even with a ruptured ligament; he has a smile on his face. My handy husband, was helping during my son's All Star practice Monday night and heard a snap while he was running. I depend on him for so much so for the next few weeks he needs to take it slow (even though he won't which drives me nutso).

Wow, it's been too long!

I know I have been out of touch for a while but I have had many of my customers request that I blog and keep them updated on new products and life as a stay at home mom so this blog will be just that. I will have postings that pertain to me as a wife and/or mom and postings about my products.

Some of the postings that you will see from me will be:

*Home Remedies (I've had allot of customers ask me about this) Although I know you can google these on your own; some of my customers ask if I have personally tried any of them.
*Recipes (I'm going to do my best to post a new recipe every week and would love a catchy name so if you have any thoughts; jump in).
*Crafts and much more.

Lauren's 9th Birthday

Well our first born turned 9 on June 25th, wow how the time flies by.  We had another swim party (she gets jipped on the fun places for parties since we have a pool and it's so stinkin hot in Texas).   

This year instead of cake and ice cream we did a sundae bar.  I got small buckets and shovels from party city for .99 and had a bucket for gummy worms, crushed oreo's, m&m's and cherries.  We served them in waffle cone bowls and had chocolate or caramel topping and of course wipped cream.  The kids loved them..  Here are some pics.

As most of us do we go overboard with our kids when it come to present time.   Our family learned allot over the last 12 months with my husband being unemployed for 1 year to the date and me pregnant.  We learned that our kids just needed family, not gifts.  Don't get me wrong, they LOVE gifts, but at the end of the day that one gift that they ask for and keep asking for it's worth the money to see their face light up.  Well our gift to Lauren was a Pillow Pet.  Yes, it's a pillow, it's a pet, it's a Pillow Pet (sorry couldn't help myself).  She wanted the Dolphin and here is a picture of her.

Lastly, I got some pics of the girls after presents and in the pool.  Enjoy!

The picture above of the boy is my oldest son, Chase...He is a hoot!  Love his personality, it's just like his dad's.
